  • Description

Firehouse is a hard rock/heavy metal band that formed in the late 1980s. The group was originally known as White Heat, and consisted of Bill Leverty on guitar, C.J. Snare on lead vocals, Perry Richardson on bass, and Michael Foster on drums. They signed to Epic Records, and were going to be called White Heat, but when they found out that there was another band with that name, they changed their name to Firehouse.

Their self-titled debut album, Firehouse (1990), produced the hits "All She Wrote" and "Love Of A Lifetime".

The second album, Hold Your Fire (1992), brought about the hits "When I Look Into Your Eyes" and the title track. Firehouse was quickly recognized more for their ballads than their rock songs.

3 (1995) was centered more on ballads, including "I Live My Life For You".

The music scene was alternative by this time, and the band continued by playing clubs and bars. Good Acoustics (1996) was a greatest hits compilation, with a few new tracks, done acoustically.

In 1998, the band was dropped by Epic Records, so they released their fifth album, Category 5, in Japan that year. The album was released in the U.S. in 1999 on Mystic Records. A live album, titled Bring 'Em Out Live, was released in 1999 in Japan, then in the U.S. in 2000 on Spitfire Records.
